While serving as Director, IBM Global Accounts at International Rectifier, ROAR founder Ken Wood successfully led a global, top tier account sales team that captured and defended IBM power management semiconductor opportunities from initial design-in through final production. He developed and implemented market-focused, multi-national business plans that facilitated worldwide alignment/continuity between customer design sites and independent contract manufacturer locations.

Key accomplishments:

  • Ken increased sales from $8 million to $26 million at 40% average gross margin over a 4-year period by focusing on value-based selling, expanding international markets, and identifying new product opportunities.
  • Ken increased the IBM Corporate satisfaction level/supplier rating for International Rectifier to greater than 90% for first time in 5 years.
  • Ken earned the “Most Valuable Product Award” in recognition for individual sales efforts that resulted in $1.7 million in incremental revenue annually at 50% gross margin through the introduction of a new semiconductor package solution.
